EL SEGUNDO, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– DIRECTV is returning the TV to its rightful place as the focal point for in-room entertainment by dramatically expanding the on-demand programming available through its Residential Experience (DRE) for hotels, taking the pressure off hotels’ Wi-Fi networks as guests spend less time watching video on their portable devices. The newly enhanced DRE also features a fully customizable “Welcome Screen” with cascading control at the brand and property levels to create a consistent digital presence across locations and promote hotel amenities and events.
